Psychiatric drug side-effects search engine

To find out more about the potential side-effects of psychiatric drugs, you can use the links given below to search by either brand or generic drug-name (e.g. Adderall, Ritalin, Prozac, Paxil, Risperdal or Seroquel) or by an entire class of drugs (e.g. antidepressants, ADHD drugs, antipsychotics, anti-anxiety drugs or mood stabilisers).

Search Engine 3 (from the U.S. National Institutes of Health): contains 103,073 drug listings as submitted to the U.S Food and Drug Administration.

Search Engine 1 (RxISK): owned and operated by Data Based Medicine Americas Ltd. (DBM), based in Toronto, Canada.

Search Engine 2 (run by the Citizens Commission on Human Rights, which was co-founded in 1969 by the Church of Scientology and Professor of Psychiatry Emeritus Dr. Thomas Szasz).

the above ‘psychiatric drug side effects search engine’ is a link to CCHR which is a branch of the church of Scientology and does not belong on this website for obvious reasons. Please replace with https://rxisk.org/about/ because if you don’t i will not be comfortable recommending this to people which would be a real shame

      Hello Tracey,

Thanks for your comment. We have amended the post concerned so that it now lists both search engines – the one from rxisk that you have suggested and the one from CCHR – and gives information in each case about who runs them. Concerning the CCHR, for example, the post now says “was co-founded in 1969 by the Church of Scientology and Professor of Psychiatry Emeritus Dr. Thomas Szasz”.
