Conference theme: Cultivating the Therapeutic Relationship
Increasing research suggests that relationship between the therapist and client is an essential part of successful therapeutic work. But what makes for a successful therapeutic relationship, and how might this be experienced by both therapist and client? How might trust be established, safe spaces held or ruptures or misunderstanding repaired? What are the influences of transference and counter-transference?
This conference will seek to examine how we have, and can, cultivate the therapeutic relationship across psychotherapeutic modalities and approaches.
Keynote Speakers:
Prof Mick Cooper
Dr Zack Elleftheriadou
